Glasgow Film Festival announces star-studded line-up for 20th anniversary

Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) has revealed the stars who will be joining them for their 20th anniversary, including Viggo Mortensen and Maxine Peake.Viggo Mortensen, known for his role in The Lord Of The Rings, will take part in a special question and answer session on March 3, to talk about his acting and directing experiences.He will also introduce the UK premiere of his new Western film, The Dead Don't Hurt, which he directed and also stars in.The festival will run from February 28 until March 10.1917 star George MacKay will walk the red carpet at the Scottish premiere of sci-fi romance The Beast on March 7.

Emily Hampshire, known for Schitt's Creek and The Rig, will be at the world premiere of her new horror film Mom on March 9.Dale Dickey, who starred in My Name Is Earl and Breaking Bad, will appear at the premiere of The G on February 29.Maxine Peake will be present at the UK premiere of new dystopian sci-fi Woken on March 3.Comedian Janey Godley will attend the world premiere of Janey, a documentary that followed her final tour after her terminal ovarian cancer diagnosis, on March 10.Beats and Shetland star Lorn Macdonald will be at the world premiere of the Glasgow-shot comic thriller Tummy Monster on March 2.Solly McLeod, who was born in Orkney and recently starred in ITV's Tom Jones adaptation, will be in town for the UK premiere of The Dead Don't Hurt on March 3.

He also has the UK premiere of the police siege film Jericho Ridge on March 9.Film fans can look forward to the opening gala UK premiere of Love Lies Bleeding on February 28, which stars Twilight's Kristen Stewart.Farah Nabulsi, a British-Palestinian director who has won a Bafta, will bring the UK premiere of her new film The Teacher to the festival.
