‘Gladiator II’ Sets Paramount+ Premiere Date
deadline.comGladiator II, Ridley Scott’s critically acclaimed follow-up to his Best Picture Oscar-winning Gladiator, is bound for streaming, set to premiere on Paramount+ in the U.S.
and Canada on January 21. The historical epic hits the service following a global theatrical run via Paramount Pictures that’s seen it gross over $455 million, garnering nominations for two Golden Globes, four Critics’ Choice Awards, three BAFTA Film Awards and a SAG Award.
Its availability in additional international markets will be announced at a later date. Also available to stream on Paramount+ is the original Gladiator, which in the 28 days following the sequel’s release, saw a 96% lift in viewership on the platform.
Starring Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington and more, Gladiator II continues an epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in ancient Rome.
