Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial arrived at Carrington today for pre-season training – and looked very glad to be back after months out on loan.
The pair fell out of favour in previous regimes at Old Trafford, failing to impress Ole Gunnar Solskjaer nor his successor, Ralf Rangnick, but they will be hoping to resurrect their Manchester United careers under new boss Erik ten Hag.
Van de Beek, 25, strode into the training ground with a broad smile on his face after six months on loan at Everton, where he made seven appearances and scored one goal.
The Holland international has been handed a lifeline at United with the appointment of Ten Hag, having played just 70 Premier League minutes for the club in the first half of last season.
