A little girl has been kept out of school for months as she is suffering from severe 'long Covid' - which makes her fall asleep at her desk.
Previously healthy Anna Hendy has been hospitalised twice in the past ten months after first being hit by the virus in April.
The eight-year-old became infected along with mum Helen Goss, 37, and her partner at their home in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The disease took such a toll on Anna that she would fall asleep at her desk, prompting her parents to pull her from school in October, reports the Daily Record.
The symptoms of 'long Covid' have also left her afraid to go be in an indoor environment can make her anxious, her mum said.
