Girl, 5, left in coma after NFL coach's ‘drink drive crash' days before Super Bowl

A five-year-old girl was left in a coma after an NFL coach was was allegedly drink-driving and crashed just days before the Super Bowl.

The young victim, named Ariel, is unconscious and "in very critical condition" at hospital after being involved in the accident on Thursday.

She suffered swelling to her brain, according to her aunt Tiffany Verhulst, who set up a GoFundMe page which had already raised $100,000 by Saturday night.

She also shared a heartbreaking photo of her niece in a hospital bed and said the fundraiser was to cover hospital bills. She wrote: "[Ariel] will be in the hospital for the foreseeable future, this is set up for the hospital bills and weeks of missed work she will have. "Anything to help her family who is suffering
