A teenage girl who was left to die watching the TV quiz show Tipping Point was 'exposed' to her mum having sex with men in their home, an inquiry has heard.
Sharon Goldie, 49, refused to let her 13-year-old daughter, Robyn, go to the hospital because she thought she was 'exaggerating', so left her and went out for a night drinking, it was said.
The inquiry heard that on her return, she found her daughter unresponsive on the sofa. She continued drinking with another individual outside the home and when she checked on Robyn, she realised she had stopped breathing.
The schoolgirl died as a result of peritonitis and a perforated duodenal ulcer. READ MORE: Last branch of Simon Rimmer's Greens restaurant announces 'heartbreaking' closure Robyn told social workers she had caught her mum engaging in sexual activity at their home in Wishaw, Lanarkshire.
