Police were called at around 8.50pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 20) to the junction of Blackthorn Lane and Gordon Street in Bacup, near Bury, after a report a Ford Ranger truck had been involved in a collision with a girl riding a kart.
The rider - an 11-year-old girl from Bacup - suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Manchester Children’s Hospital. The driver of the truck, a man is 30s, also from Bacup, was not hurt.
