An Irish girl's gaelic football which was swept out to sea has been found washed up on a Welsh beach after a seven day journey spanning some 120 miles.
The 10-year-old owner was reunited with her lost ball after an appeal on social media by a concerned Welsh local was shared thousands of times.
Aoife Ni Niocaill thought she had seen the last of her Go Games football when it was lost to the sea last week. But incredibly, the Irish Mirror reports, a local in the Welsh village of Llanrhystud found the ball washed up on a beach, and used Facebook to find the owner.
Aline Denton wrote: "If anyone knows Aoife Ni Niocaill, her football’s just washed up on Llanrhystud beach - west Wales. Wonder how long it’s taken to get here from Ireland?" And
