Paramedics and police rushed out to Sheaves Close, Abram, at around 5.40pm on Monday (August 30) following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
A large response was sent out by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) - including a rapid response vehicle (RRV) and an advanced paramedic - as well as the air ambulance.
