Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts have a hunch about Giovanni Pernice's future on the show after he revealed the name of his 2025 tour, christened as 'Giovanni: The Last Dance'.
At 33, Giovanni is predicted to join this month's upcoming line-up of the BBC dance programme. However, fans are intrigued with the title of his solo tour that spans from January till May next year, casting doubts about his return to the ballroom.The Sicilian dancer, who joined Strictly in 2015, faced backlash recently when his ex-dance mate, Amanda Abbington alleged she developed PTSD post-show.
Despite the ordeal, the BBC bosses stood behind him. One insider noted: "It is no secret that the last few months have been difficult for Giovanni.The name of his 2025 show will certainly get the rumour mill spinning." A source close to the star, however, has insisted that choosing the name of his tour predated Amanda leaving the dance show, reports the Mirror.
Amanda left Strictly only five weeks in, stating "medical reasons" and later disclosed she suffered PTSD. Giovanni maintains that he acted solely in Amanda's best interests.
