Drake appeared to address his high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar as well as a few other rappers on his new song “GIMME A HUG.” The track, a collaboration with Partynextdoor, landed on the pair’s new album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which dropped on Friday (February 14).
It comes less than a week after Kendrick publicly called out and dragged Drake while performing his Grammy winning diss track “Not Like Us” during his performance at the 2025 Super Bowl.
Reports suggested that Drake was “angry” about the Halftime Show but was trying to hide it. The lyrics to his new song appear to offer some insight into his thoughts on the feud. Keep reading to find out more… “GIMME A HUG” opens with the line, “Yeah, Drake elimination, fake intimidation,” which fans perceived as a reference to Kanye West, who previously dissed him.
He continued, accusing other rappers of “using [him] for promotion,” seemingly a reference to feuds with the likes of Kendrick and Kanye. A$AP Rocky also appeared to call out Drake in 2024.
