The finale of Line of Duty series six pulled in huge viewing figures on Sunday evening. Over 12 million people eagerly tuned in as AC-12 finally discovered who H was.
And despite an underwhelming response by viewers, many were left wondering whether the BBC cop drama would be back for another series.
Now, thanks to a tweet - which has since been deleted - fans could well have their answer. TV presenter Giles Coren gave a huge indication that there will indeed be a seventh series.
He tweeted: "A friend of mine was cast in series 7 last week. There’s no secret." But the tweet was quickly removed with the show's creator Jed Mercurio is yet to reveal whether he plans to pen a new script.
