During their modelling careers, both Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid have proven that they can pull off a real variety of beauty looks as well as fashion ensembles – whether that’s changing up their signature hair colours, sporting a “Lego haircut” or bleaching their brows.

But their latest high fashion look, worn for a Marc Jacobs show in New York this week, is a really extreme case that only adds weight to that argument.

Both sisters stepped out onto the catwalk with a half-shaven hairstyle and no eyebrows, shocking their fans with the very striking get-up that’s giving us punk era vibes.The pair shared a string of snaps to their respective Instagram feeds, with Gigi writing, “ANYTHING 4 MARC” with a razor emoji in a nod to the eye-catching hairdo.

Meanwhile Bella gave fans a look behind-the-scenes at the creative process for this look, which saw the hair and makeup team and prosthetic artists create the ethereal beauty look from scratch, with the help of bald caps and specially cut wigs (so no, the sisters didn’t shave their heads for real, just in case you were in any doubt).
