Following the release of her 2019 triumph “Up” with Sheppard and Wiz Khalifa, the Tokyo born and bred pop star recently became the first solo female Japanese artist to go Gold in the United States since Yoko Ono in 1984.
Her latest EP Show Me was executive produced by Justin Bieber collaborator Poo Bear, and features her latest track “Silver Lining.” The track, produced and mixed by the Kanye West collaborators Katalyst is about “struggling through the pain of the loss of love, and trying to find a ray of hope so that you can reflect on the days spent together, not only as painful, but as hopeful.” Since her debut in 2017 with “Live Your Dreams,” she’s also scored chart hits with tracks like “Undisputed,” which worked its way up the Top 40 U.S.
