Making your first steps into the creative industries might seem bewildering if you're young and without contacts. There are plenty of opportunities out there, though getting the training and experience you need seems a challenge in itself.

But now a new talent development programme - Foot In The Door - is offering a route towards the industry for young people in Greater Manchester.

Launched by The Andy Taylor Foundation and SharpFutures, the programme provides an opportunity to develop skills before going on a work placement with some of the North West’s most exciting creative media businesses.

Supporting partners include ITV Studios, LADbible Group, Lime Pictures and Studio Lambert North for this full time paid course, which is open to 18 to 24-year-olds who are interested in making content but might not have any experience.
