A farmer attacked a cyclist with a farmyard billhook during a road rage row over the victim failing to use a dedicated bike lane.
Robert Fell clashed with the cyclist when he was forced to overtake him whilst the cycleway running parallel to the road stood empty, a court heard.
During the exchange, the victim, aged in his 30s, told the 66-year-old farmer: 'You're too close' whilst riding down the carriageway.
