George Clooney is unhappy at the way things unfolded on the set of the indie film Rust.On the WTF With Marc Maron podcast, Clooney weighed in on the Rust set catastrophe in which a gun discharged by Alec Baldwin shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
He doesn’t think Baldwin had any intent to harm, but stresses that since the deaths of Brandon Lee and Jon-Erik Hexum, both who died due to prop guns that were used during shooting that had live rounds/fragments in the chamber, gun safety should be of the highest priority on set. “Every single time I’m handed a gun on the set — every time — they hand me a gun, I look at it, I open it, I show it to the person I’m pointing it too, I show it to the crew,”
