George Clooney has revealed his character from ER has got him "in a lot of trouble" with his wife Amal. The 59-year-old portrayed ladies' man Dr Doug Ross on the hit medical drama series between 1994 and 1999.

Amal, 43, recently started watching the series and George has admitted she's not impressed by Dr Ross' antics. "We were getting something like 42 million people to watch the show, and those are numbers that are just unheard of when we had 150 channels," he said on the SmartLess podcast. "My wife is watching them now and it's getting me in a lot of trouble.
