Former Geordie Shore star Faith Mullen is celebrating a year sober - and some very impressive weight loss too. Faith, 23, appeared on series 18 of the popular reality series back in 2018, but was axed after a single series when it emerged that she had been involved in an “altercation” during a night out in Newcastle and now says she's living a much quieter life.

Since her time on the show, Faith has opened up about the toll drinking took on her mental health and body, and revealed that she turned to God to help her get through it.

Faith said: “12 months ago today I woke up and knew if I didn't change and get help that day I probably wasn't going to be around much longer.” She added that she had been “struggling” with drink for “years” and it had lead her to “ruining relationships, friendships, not being able to hold down jobs” and leaving her loved ones “worried sick” for her.The 23 year old former reality star even said that her mental health was in “such a dark place I’d be regularly self-harming.” She said that she woke up after a festival, after promising herself she wouldn’t drink again, with no memories of the night before, and decided it was time to seek help. The star admitted that she headed to an AA meeting still “off my face” but met some “lovely people” who were willing to help.

Faith explained that after several meetings, her journey to sobriety lead her back to the Church she grew up going to. She says that, while she does occasionally drop into AA meetings, it’s her church community she attributes to her sobriety.
