A genius schoolgirl has achieved the equivalent of an A* in her physics GCSE - after taking the exam six years early. Seojin Park, nine, was awarded the impressive mark - known as a Grade 8 - after studying hard at home during lockdown.

The Year 5 pupil, known as Ipin, was inspired by her science lessons last year and decided to focus on physics over the summer.

She already has a GCSE in higher maths after she took the exam in 2019 - when she was aged just seven, reports MyLondon. Ipin is now studying for A Levels in the subjects and wants to become the youngest person to attend the University of Cambridge. Got a story?
