'Genetically compromised' baby born to brother and sister dies hours after birth

The baby of incestuous couple born 'genetically compromised' tragically died just hours being welcomed into the world. The little boy was said to have suffered from numerous birth defects due to his parents being brother and sister.

Footage shows the tiny newborn crying in an incubator as a nurse wipes the dry, scaly skin on his bottom in a hospital in Dustlik, Uzbekistan.

The country's minster of Health confirmed the youngster was born on June 4 with "severe congenital ichthyosis" and other "life-threatening" defects, the Mirror reports.

Ichthyosis congenita is a genetic skin disorder which causes abnormally red, dry, and rough skin with large coarse and fine white scales.
