More information is coming out following the death of Leslie Charleson. The actress, who starred as Monica Quartermaine on General Hospital, passed away on January 12 at the age of 79.

She was the longest-tenured cast member on the ABC soap opera. Now a month after her passing, Leslie‘s cause of death has been revealed. Keep reading to find out more…On Thursday (February 13), it was reported that Leslie died from “sequelae of blunt head trauma,” a condition caused by a previous head injury, according to online records viewed by People.

The records also indicate that Leslie also was diagnosed with asthma, arthritis, atrial fibrillation, and normal pressure hydrocephalus, which the Alzheimer’s Association defines as “a brain disorder in which excess cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) accumulates in the brain’s ventricles.” Our continued thoughts are with Leslie Charleson‘s loved ones following her passing.
