Johnny Wactor is being hailed a hero by his family after he was killed in a robbery attempt. The actor, best known for playing Brando Corbin on ABC’s General Hospital between 2020 and 2022, was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles in the early morning hours of Saturday (May 25).

There were men standing next to Johnny‘s car and he thought it was being towed at first, but then they pointed a gun at him. Johnny moved in front of his co-worker and shielded her with his body when he was shot and killed.

The suspects are still at large. “We’re Southern, born and raised, and we would never let a female walk to their car by herself,” Johnny‘s brother Grant told DailyMail.com. “He came across them and he thought his truck was being towed.
