Five months after a writers shakeup at General Hospital, Patrick Mulcahey has exited the head writing team that consisted of himself and Elizabeth Korte.
The drama has bounced from the screen to behind the scenes. The duo replaced co-head writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor in January. Korte is expected to remain Head Writer with O’Connor returning as her new partner.
Fans have expressed their frustration on Twitter/X about the musical chairs game in the General Hospital writer’s room. Some think Mulcahey’s exit is a rash decision, coming before any real change can be made by his partnership with Korte.
Others are excited about the change. Fans feel that many of the residents of Port Charles have been acting out of character in recent months.
