Gemma Collins to release Christmas single Baby It's Cold Outside this week

Gemma Collins is set to release a cover of Baby It's Cold Outside this week, making her a surprise contender for this year's Christmas Number 1.

The GC is collaborating on the festive duet with former Celebrity Big Brother co-star, Darren Day. The new single - the reality star's first - will be released this Friday, December 11 through indie outfit Rebel Records.

Announcing the track on her social media, the TOWIE star said: "I wanted to do something fun and fabulous for you all for charity as it’s been a tough year for all, I hope this spreads some cheer and warmth in your hearts."  No word yet on whether she's feeling Santa Claus-trophobic about the release.
