Gemma Collins was left in tears as she revealed that she had to terminate a pregnancy after being informed that her unborn baby was 'intersex'.The 43-year-old reality TV star, who shot to fame on The Only Way is Essex, has previously opened up about her heart-wrenching journey towards motherhood.

In a frank discussion on the Everything I Know About Me podcast, Gemma spoke about having to once terminate a pregnancy.The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant recalled finding out she was pregnant a few years back.

She shared on the recent episode of the podcast: "They said to me 'something's not right'."Gemma later added: "They said to me 'oh your baby could be, from looking at it, [intersex]'.She further remarked: "You can imagine I didn't know what the word was."I had to look it up.

I'd never been taught about [being intersex]."So that was a real shock." Gemma, reports the Mirror, continued to explain that there were concerns for the baby at the time, stating: "Then they advised me 'you need to have a termination'."The NHS describes 'intersex' as a term used to describe 'differences in sex development' (DSD).
