Gemma Collins says she'd 'love' to land a role on major soap

Gemma Collins, dazzling queen of reality TV and a die-hard Coronation Street fan, has revealed her ambition to feature on the iconic ITV soap - and she's got big dreams for her potential character.

In true Gemma fashion, she confessed her desires to The Daily Star, "It would be amazing to be on a soap one day. I'd love to be in Corrie.

I recently met Claire Sweeney and I think she's hilarious, so I could go on the cobbles with her." Not one for being typecast, the Essex star wants to surprise viewers with a raw and gritty character, far removed from her own glitzy life.

She elaborated, "I'd like to play a character that's memorable. I want to play someone people wouldn't expect... a character who's very different to what people think I'd be." Setting her sights on a challenging role, she suggested, "Maybe I could be someone who is sleeping rough on the streets...
