Gemma Collins' dad 'literally fighting for his life' in hospital amid coronavirus battle

Gemma Collins has said her dad is "literally fighting for his life" in hospital after catching coronavirus. The former TOWIE star revealed that both her parents were battling Covid-19 before Christmas and her father Alan was suffering particularly badly and had been rushed to hospital.

And Gemma, 39, gave her fans an update on Alan's health on her BBC podcast, The Gemma Collins Podcast, this week. She said: "It has been just the most awful Christmas and New Year for me.

I am not going to dwell on it. "Both of my parents have had Covid. My dad is still in hospital now. He's literally been fighting for his life. "It has been one awful time of it but I'm so happy to be back chatting with you all." Gemma said she had a lot going on with work
