Gemma Atkinson has shared a sweet update after suffering a health scare with her beloved dog. As well as being proud mum to daughter Mia, the Hits Radio presenter is a 'dog mum' to her two pooches Norman and Ollie.

And Gemma was left worried this week when her mum had to rush Ollie to the emergency vets. The Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star took to Instagram on Thursday to talk to her followers about the scare. "He became really, really ill yesterday and my mum took him to the vets and she texted me at the radio to say they were sending him to the emergency 24 hour vets because they thought it had pancreatitis which can be fatal in dogs if not caught. "He was just violently sick and he wasn't himself, wasn't moving very well." Gemma went on to say that the vets had told her had responded really well to treatment and may have been able to come home on Thursday night.

The 37-year-old then asked her followers if anyone else's dogs had suffered from the same issue and asked "what did you do?" She then shared a message thanking fans for their 'hundreds' of messages.

And by Thursday evening, Gemma was able to offer a positive update. She shared a video of herself stroking Ollie who was back relaxing at home. "He's home..
