GB News fans were taken aback by news that Ray Addison presented his last report on Thursday, with the channel's social media post confirming his departure.
With a journalistic career spanning nearly 25 years and a wealth of roles, the post on X from the station said: "Today, @RayAddisonLive presented his final report on @GBNEWS.
Ray has reported on some of the biggest stories spanning both sides of the Atlantic, as well as presenting the bulletins. We at GBN Updates will miss Ray very much, and wish him all the best for whatever comes next." Addison, who has worked there for three years, reposted the news adding: "Ah thanks @GBNUpdates - I’ve had a great time over the last three years and know it’s going to go from strength to strength." His vast experience includes work alongside the late Caroline Flack, producing content for broadcasters like Channel 5, Channel 4, MTV, and E!, reports the Express.
For Addison, his stint on GB News signalled a UK return following over 10 years in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he was instrumental in launching a lifestyle section on Dubai One, resulting in the country's premier English language magazine programme, boasting close to 700 episodes aired across 16 countries during his five-year tenure.
