A GB News presenter has been mocked on social media after claiming he was knocked back from a Glasgow bar ‘due to his accent’.
Tom Harwood says he attempted to visit Firewater in the city’s Sauchiehall Street during a night off from reporting on the COP26 summit on Saturday night.
The 25-year-old claims that his ‘Glaswegian friends’ were allowed entry into the venue, but the door staff allegedly refused to let him in.
Writing on Twitter, the right-wing political pundit from Cambridge claimed that this was ‘solely because of his accent’. He said: “Bouncer rejected me from a bar, from what I - and my Glaswegian friends - can make out, seemingly solely because of my accent.“Have to say, it’s the most hostile Glasgow has felt in a full week.
