Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page says she was thrilled to play a puppy in an animation for the charity Guide Dogs. The 44-year-old, who was Stacey in the cult comedy, narrates the three-minute clip as Flash, a cartoon version of a real four-month-old Labrador.
Flash was named after one of Britain’s first ever guide dogs, a German shepherd trained in 1931. Joanna said of the film, which showcases the volunteers who raise puppies: “It was such a pleasure to meet the real-life Flash. “Her name carries so much history for Guide Dogs in its 90th year and I’m delighted to help the charity tell the story of Flash and other life-changing dogs.” The mum-of-three has campaigned in support of Guide Dogs for many years.
