Gavin Escobar has sadly passed away. The former Dallas Cowboys tight end has died after an apparent rock-climbing accident in California at the age of 31, TMZ reported Friday (September 30).
According to officials, there was a report of two injured rock climbers at Tahquitz Rock at around 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday (September 28) in Idyllwild, Calif.
Both victims had died by the time they arrived on the scene. He was identified as one of the hikers, and a 33-year-old woman, Chelsea Walsh, was identified as the other.
