Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker has opened up about the traumatic moment when he soiled himself at the World Cup in Italy in 1990.
The former forward is regularly taunted by social media users about the incident, and he has been unable to shake off jokes about his stinker.
The unfortunate event took place in England's first game of the tournament - a 1-1 draw against Republic of Ireland - where despite opening the scoring in the ninth minute, Lineker later suffered cramps and was eventually substituted.
Recalling what happened on the Match of the Day podcast, Lineker said: "I'd been ill overnight and it was the opening day of the cup and I'd woken up a few times with diarrhoea, etc. "I didn't want to tell (manager) Bobby Robson
