Gary Anderson can’t wait to savour a long overdue birthday in the house after his flying start to the William Hill World Championships.
The Scottish star sank Adrian Lewis to secure a spot in round three at the Alexandra Palace. In a repeat of the 2011 and 2016 Finals, Anderson and Jackpot went head-to-head in an eagerly-anticipated tie.
However, it ended up one-sided as, after a slow start, the Musselburgh man hit overdrive to storm through. Due to scheduling, Anderson is not now due to play his next game until after the Christmas break which means he can also enjoy his 51st birthday at home with family in Somerset.
