The Manchester United forward linked up with the England squad in the North East this week, having been given a break following United's defeat in the Europa League final to Villarreal in Gdansk.

Rashford scored in the 11-10 penalty shootout defeat but he had a poor night in the 120 minutes and has been struggling for form towards the end of the season.

The 23-year-old played through a shoulder problem earlier this season and has been struggling with a foot injury towards the end of the
