Gareth Bale expects to return to fitness before the transfer window shuts boosting his hopes of a potential escape route from Real Madrid.
Bale returned from international duty with Wales with a knee injury after starting both victories over Finland and Bulgaria.
He is now rehabilitating his injury at Madrid where he is being assessed. But Mirror Sport understands Bale, 31, believes the injury is not too serious.
He went down in the second half of Sunday's 1-0 win over Bulgaria but completed the 90 minutes. He has since returned to the La Liga champions where boss Zinedine Zidane didn't use him in Real's last eight games.
