Police have issued a warning ahead of Bonfire night after a group of youths allegedly aimed fireworks at people in a busy park.Footage on social media shows several fireworks being fired in quick succession at Blackburn Skatepark in West Lothian on Sunday evening.According to an eye witness, the group were aiming the projectiles at people within the park and condemned the “mindless” actions which could have left someone “seriously injured.”Edinburgh Live reported that in the short clip, a youth can be seen firing the coloured fireworks into the sky before aiming at trees as the person filming can be heard laughing and egging them on.In Edinburgh on Halloween, a female officer was injured when a police vehicle was pelted with bricks.Fireworks were also aimed at officers and passing buses in Niddrie as several streets were locked down by police.
Two youths, aged 14 and 17, have since been charged.Chief Superintendent David Robertson, commander for Edinburgh division, said: “Enquiries are continuing following disorder in the capital on Thursday, 31 October, and efforts are underway to identify those responsible for carrying out several violent attacks on buses and police officers during that evening.
