The 27-year-old actress, who played Sansa Stark in the smash hit HBO fantasy series, looks worlds away from her usual self in the new ITVX show - with peroxide blonde hair and bright red lipstick.
Sophie, who recently had a second child with pop singer husband Joe Jonas, stars in the title role in the new drama, which takes inspiration from the fascinating true story of Joan Hannington - aka 'the Godmother' - who became one of the most notorious figures in London's criminal underworld.The series is centred around Joan, a fiery and uncompromising woman in her twenties who is deeply scarred and vulnerable.
She is a devoted mother to her six-year-old daughter, Kelly, but is trapped in a disastrous marriage with a violent criminal named Gary.
