Gaby Roslin, the beloved TV presenter known for her work on shows like Morning Live, Children In Need, and The Big Breakfast, has always been seen with a radiant smile and boundless energy.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, she reveals that maintaining her positivity is a daily choice, particularly when facing life's tougher moments, such as dealing with loss. "It's about finding the joy in the small things, and I think we've forgotten that," Gaby shares during our intimate chat as she gears up for her new Saturday show on Magic Radio. "The news is very bleak and life is very, very tough for lots of people so I'm not just saying, 'If you smile everything will be better', but you do have to look for those little nuggets of joy." Despite her upbeat demeanor, Gaby acknowledges that life isn't always easy, and she's experienced her fair share of tragedy, including the loss of her mother to lung cancer in 1997 and her father suffering a stroke shortly eafter.

Nearly three decades after her mum Jackie's passing, Gaby confesses that there are still moments when the pain hits hard, not only from the memories of those times but also from the realisation of all that her mother has missed. "There was something on the radio this morning, and they read out something about somebody saying their kids never got a chance to meet their grandmother," she recalls. "My mum died 28 years ago, and it just got me in my stomach.

I always say to people when they lose someone, 'Just remember, there are no rules to grief.' And now here I am 28 years later, like somebody had hit me in my tummy." Opening up about her family life, Gaby spoke of her children: Libbi-Jack, 23, and Amelie, 17, who never had the chance to meet their maternal grandmother.
