Gabrielle Union Says It's Weird to Get Recognition About Embracing Daughter Zaya's Transition

Gabrielle Union is the latest celeb guest to stop by The Ellen DeGeneres Show during quarantine.

The 47-year-old LA’s Finest star chatted about being stuck in quarantine with her family, baby Kaavia and her new book, “Welcome to the Party”. Gabrielle also chatted about how getting recognition for being accepting of daughter Zaya‘s transition is weird. “To us, it’s a little odd to get any kind of recognition for doing what you’re supposed to do, which is love and accept and embrace your kids,” Gabrielle said.

She added, “Unfortunately, there are so many people who just don’t. There are so many people who really truly feel like their kids are disposable and if they’re not perfect images of them, they’re not interested.
