He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Furious Adil Ray tells Kwasi Kwarteng the India red list delay was 'catastrophic error'

Good Morning Britain's Adil Ray raged at Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng on Monday's show over the government's delay in putting India on the red list for travel, pointing out the delay was likely due to a recent £1bn trade deal.

Adil says Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a "catastrophic error" in delaying over putting India on the red list because he had planned to travel there and initially did not want to cancel the trip, despite the steep rise in Covid rates.

India was eventually put on the red list on 23rd April and Johnson cancelled his trip, but India was already reporting 100,000 new cases a day back on 5th April.
