A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of a dad-of-seven who died after an alleged street attack in Aberdeen. Steven Johnson, 50, was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following an alleged assault on Carmelite Lane, near Union Square, on Sunday, March 12.
Tragically, Steven, who was also a grandad-of-four, died two days later on Tuesday, March 14.Officers investigating the incident confirmed a 45-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection.
Enquiries remain ongoing. A fundraiser has since been set up in memory of the father and to help his family with the unexpected costs of a funeral.
A statement on the GoFundMe page reads: "I wanted to set up this page to help ensure Steven gets the best send off he deserves and to help support his seven children and four young grandchildren, who have all been affected by this loss. "The whole family are understandably absolutely destroyed.
