Paula Leeson, from Sale, drowned in a swimming pool at a rented cottage in Norre Nobel on June 6, 2017. At a pre-inquest review hearing today (May 20), it was confirmed that a full inquest into her death will now take place at South Manchester Coroners' Court in Stockport in December 2021.
In March this year, Ms Leeson's husband Donald McPherson, who also lives in Sale, went on trial accused of her murder. He said it was a 'tragic accident', while prosecutors alleged it was murder with a financial motive after it was revealed that he had taken out joint life insurance
