Distressed passengers who faced up to 30-hour delays with some pleading to go home have shared their 'abysmal' experience with airline TUI.
Children were left 'petrified' when one flight, which did manage to take off, had to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport.
On the morning of June 24, hundreds of passengers arrived at the airport, excited for an all-inclusive TUI holiday to Dalaman in Turkey.
The flight was due to leave at 6.10am. It was not until 9pm when the flight took off, however, with repeated delays preventing it from leaving.
