Oxford Road has been hit by fresh flooding chaos today after another burst water pipe. Fire crews are at the scene near the junction with Dover Street where there are large pools of water and workers digging up the road.
The surface has only just been relayed to allow Oxford Road to reopen last weekend following flooding caused by a burst water main.
United Utilities said the repairs, which lasted around ten days, had been successfully completed. Although the leak is in an almost identical location it is understood it is not the same pipe that is involved.
