Freedom Fibre’s mission to deliver lightning-fast broadband to towns across the North West continues, as they expand their build across Warrington, covering Newton-Le-Willows, Stockton Heath, Culcheth, Croft, Winwick & Glazebury.

With a combined total of £10m of investment into the digital infrastructure of Warrington, approximately 5,000 homes and businesses in Culcheth, 8,000 in Newton-Le-Willows, and 2,000 in Stockton Heath can now connect to the network, with broadband packages that provide speeds of up to 900Mb/s available through Freedom Fibre’s partnership with Internet Service Provider, TalkTalk.

The switch to full-fibre (FTTP) is being heralded by Alt-Net providers as a solution to the country’s connectivity issues, as even standard fibre networks (FTTC) currently use copper which can deteriorate over long distances, slowing down average speeds and creating unreliable connections.

For the towns in Warrington, gigabit-capable infrastructure will support an increase in the gross output of these areas and add millions of pounds in economic value**.
