Frank Lampard believes 'experience at both ends of the pitch' made the difference on Thursday evening as Manchester United beat his Chelsea side 4-1.

United were far from their best but cruised past a lacklustre Chelsea side to secure a top-four finish and a place in next season's Champions League.

Casemiro opened the scoring with a brilliant header inside six minutes before Anthony Martial doubled the lead just before the break, with Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford netting in the second half.

Chelsea had their fair share of chances to score before Joao Felix's 89th-minute consolation, but wasteful finishing kept them from causing major trouble before unforced errors at the other end allowed United to end the contest.
