Four Wishaw pupils are helping to tackle climate change one step at a time

A group of pupils at Cambusnethan Primary are fighting to combat climate change.Four primary six children are actively trying to do their bit to help stop the climate crisis.Millie Costello, Isla Robertson, Leah Boyd and Hayden O’Neill all came up with the idea themselves.They became aware of the issues surrounding the planet after learning about deforestation in school.Leah said: “We learned lots of interesting things when looking at deforestation and it made us want to try and help stop it.“We learned facts like every 20 minutes, 20 football field sized areas of forest are chopped down or destroyed.“We only have one Earth, and we want to help look after it.”They came forward to their teacher, Adrienne Dickson, and asked if they could do
