Joao Cancelo Left backs don’t normally get any glory in terms of individual honours, but Cancelo is no ordinary left-back — he is also a prime playmaker, attacking midfielder and winger rolled into one.
And he is just as good when he plays right back, too. The Portugal star has shone in the bright galaxy of City stars, going from fringe player at the end of last season, to first name on the teamsheet.
Questions remain over some of his defending, but he has improved that aspect — and when you are winning games for the team at the other end, it barely matters anyway.
